Biography from Crocker Art Museum Store:
| Engraver, painter Albert Abramovitz was born in Riga, Russia on January 24, 1879.
Abramovitz studied at the Imperial Art School in Odessa and Grande Chaumiére in Paris.
He was a resident of Los Angeles in 1927-29; by the late 1930s he had
settled in Brooklyn, NY and was active there until his death on July
14, 1963.
