Ancestry of Eleanor Parke Custis (submitted by John Custis Ross)
Contrary to her usual biographical information Eleanor Parke Custis was not a direct descendant of Martha Custis Washington. The confusion probably arises because she shared the same name as Martha Washington's granddaughter, "Nellie" Custis.
Eleanor Parke Custis was born 28 July 1897 in Washington, DC the only child of Dr. Marvin Ashdowne Custis and Francis Henshaw (Baden) Custis. Her father was a DC phys (showing 500 of 2441 characters). |
