| | Born in Santa Barbara, CA on Sept. 20, 1878. Zena married James A. Kinkade in 1904 and settled in San Francisco. She soon began painting making painting trips to Tahoe, Yosemite, and other scenic spots of northern California. As well as landscapes, she also painted seascapes and still lifes. She died there on Sept. 23, 1961. | Source:
