This biography from the Archives of AskART:
|  A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Theodore Valenkamph became an East Coast
marine painter. He emigrated to the United States and settled in
Gloucester, Massachusetts in 1899.
By 1903, he had a studio in
Boston on Tremont Street in the Studio Building, and by 1909 had moved
to Rocky Neck Avenue in East Gloucester.
