| Born on April 7, 1878 in Los Angeles, CA. After graduating from Columbia University, Kerns studied art with Arthur Dow, Stanton MacDonald-Wright, Frank Ingerson, Leo Katz and Ralph Johonnot. After 1918 she taught art in the public schools of Pasadena. The artist died in Los Angeles on July 24, 1968. Member: Pacific AA; Pasadena AA; San Gabriel Artists Guild.
