| Roy Harrison James worked during the 1st World War as a political cartoonist for a St. Louis newspaper. He then moved to California to write comedy for somebody named Charles "Chic" Sale. He also co-wrote a small comedy book with that person. He lived the bulk of his life in the Malibu area.
