Barrick, Bill Born: 1945 Abernathy, TX / Currently living in Austin, TX
Bill Barrick is a painter of the bygone rural Southwest, often depicting farms and farm implements. He believes that agriculture is deserving of a more prominent place in history, and that farmers have not been given due credit for their development of the West. He paints objects instead of ideas, using a lot of acrylic glazes. In addition, he rarely paints human figures because his desire is for the vi (showing 500 of 2666 characters). |
