An artist and illustrator of historical New England, Southern and Western life, he was born in New England and studied art in Paris, New York, and Boston.
He did several series documenting vanishing life, one of them dealing with Frank Cushing, anthropologist who did ground-breaking work among the Zuni Indians in New Mexico. Taylor did paintings of Cushing with the Indians when the Zuni visited Boston. (showing 413 of 5509 characters). |
