Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1872, Oscar Fehrer lived in New York City and Lyme, Connecticut where he was a member of the Old Lyme Colony. He studied at the National Academy of Design, the Royal Academy in Munich, and the Academie Julian in Paris.
He exhibited at the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, the National Academy of Design and the Corcoran Gallery. His work can be classified as Post-Impressionism, with elements of Cezanne and the energy of German Expressionism in his later la (showing 500 of 3298 characters). |
