| | Born in Oakland, CA on April 23, 1895. Elvidge grew up in Oakland and studied at the CCAC. After moving to Seattle she studied at the University of Washington and with Edgar Forkner. Her married name was Ford; her husband was governor of Guam in the 1950s. While there, she authored Guam Interlude. She died in Seattle on March 16, 1981.
