Otto Reinhold Jacobi (b. 1812 / d. 1901)
Otto Jacobi was born on February 27, 1812 in Konigsberg, Russia.
From the time he was ten, Jacobi showed a talent as an artist. He had two teachers in his early years, drawing teacher, Christian Ernst Rauschke, and portrait painter Andreas Knorre. At only 16, Jocobi left home to teach at at the Institute of the Deaf of Königsberg.
With financial support from his fathers friends, he was able to study under Karl Fried (showing 500 of 2142 characters). |
