| She was adopted by the wealthly Law family when her birth mother was dying from TB in the early 1900's. Mr. Law was a New York stock broker. She grew up in Moravia NY, but came to NYC to attend the Art Students League, living at the Great Northern Hotel until she moved in with friends at the Essex House. Pauline worked mainly in oils, but some watercolor, creating land- and seascapes, portraits, still lives. She was a member of the National Arts Club (maintained studio for 25+ years), Pen and Brush Club, and Salmagundi Club.
She died in the early 1990's.
