| A pin-up artist who, for many years, went only by the name of Deckard to disguise the fact that she was a woman. In 1996, when The Great American Pin-Up: Posterbook was published, Deckard was revealed for the first time as being a woman.
She worked out of Chicago during the 1930s, 40s and 50s, and her publishing company was Louis F. Dow of St. Paul, Minnesota. One of her most well-known pieces is Pin Cushion, which depicts a scantily glad woman lying on her back with her legs over a pin cushion leaned upon by four bowling pins.
