Born August 25, 1848 in upstate New York, Zeffie Osborn was the
daughter of Enoch and Margaret (Cargo) Luman. She met and married
Alanson Osborn, Jr. in Mohawk, New York, where he worked in a local
drug store. The couple soon returned to Eaton Rapids, Michigan,
his home town, where they lived in the same home the remainder of their
lives. Regarded by her peers as a very talented and
artistically inclined lady, she began studying painting in the early
1880's under Mrs. (showing 500 of 1724 characters). |
