The following biography is based on information sent to AskART.com by Estelle Gershgoren Novak, daughter of the artist:
Milton Gershgoren was born in Russia in 1909 and emigrated to the United
States in 1922. After graduating from high school in Detroit, Michigan, he
received a scholarship to attend the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
He also studied at Jepson Art Institute, Kahn Art Institute, and Otis Art
Institute.
He married Beatrice Rotman and started a fam (showing 500 of 2673 characters). |
