Clarence F. Underwood print
I have a print that I've had MANY years of a woman sitting on the grass, petting a lamb. She has dark hair, a black hat and a ruffled long white dress, and she's holding a pinkish umbrella. It says "copyright, 1904, by Frederick A. Stokes company. Is there any value? Should I have it insured?

Information on Clarence Underwood
I have been researching Clarence F. Underwood for a while now. He is my Great Grandfather. In answer to Mary Barrow, Clarence lived most of his adult life in NYC. He died there of a Cerebral Hemorrhage according to the death Certificate. His early art years were spent in Paris, and London, returning to the US around 1901-1902.

Would like more info on Clarence Underwood
I first got i know Mr. Underwood's work as the illustrations to Booth Tarkington novels, when I read them as a teenager in the 1960's. I own a water-damaged pencil-signed copy of the calendar illustration "Love Me, Love My Donkey" that a friend found for me at the local resale shop. I would love to know anything about the artist beyond the very brief bio on this site. 58 seems (to me!) a very young age to die - do we know why or how? Where did he live and work?

pencil sketch by Clarence Underwood
I am In possession of a picture that appears to be a sketch and not a copy, of a U.S. Marine (I assume) in a tropical setting sitting on a box reading a wedding invitation and in the background is an image of the gal walking down the aisle with her father. does this picture seem to be familiar to anyone

Painting by Clarence F. Underwood
I have a painting by Clarence F. Underwood that I have had for at least 25 years. I did not know how much this painting would be worth. The subject is a lady sitting on a park bench feeding a squirrel. Can anyone tell me about this picture? Thanks.

Clarence F Underwood
I also have a drawing signed Clarence F Underwood , it is a black and white possibly done in pencil of a woman in a dress holding a kitten. It is beautifully done with attention to detail, although it is undated. Curiosity about it brought me to this site
