"A Little Study in Black and White" by Ralph Yardley
I also have a print that looks like it was cut from a magazine of Ralph Yardley's "A Little Study in Black and White" that was my Mother's favorite as a little girl and hung above her bed.

'A little study in black and white' by Ralph Yardley
A friend of mine has a picture of a small black child in an oversized bed with white pillows and linen that has the above title and artist below the picture. Does anyone know anything about this picture they could tell me? Many thanks

Linda Talley

Does anyone know if Yardley ever produced silhouettes? I have several American pieces that are signed "Yardley" and share a signature somewhat similar to that used on his illustrations. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
