George Beattie, Jr.
I have a watercolor by George Beattie, Jr. "Train Stops on Signal" which was in the Washington Water Color Club show of 1942. Can you tell me anything about him?

George Beattie
George Beattie was from Cleveland Ohio, but moved to Atlanta in the late 40's. He did many portraits and landscapes and had exhibits at the Swan Coach House Gallery in ATL -the last in 2001.

I have owned the picture (mural) a long time, Have always been intriged with the picture just never new much about the artist. It always seemed to me that the picture had a look of being folded. I lived in Decatur, Ga. and used to visit Stone Mountain myself a lot.
