The Hessie My family had a painting of the steamship Hessie on the wall of our cabin in Minnesota, and my brother thought the ship was used on Lake Mille Lacs during logging days. But that never seemed feasible to me, as the lake isn't that big.
I then searched the ship on the Great Lakes, to no avail. Then I discovered it was a Joe Selby painting, an original gouache, of the Hessie.
So I searched that name in the Florida and Georgia area, and found lots of interesting things about this painting. I'm thrilled!
