The Thundering Herd
We have The Thundering Herd print which I believe was commissioned by Marshall University in the 1970's. I cannot find any info on this print regarding value.
I have a Ripper print of The Fawns in a paper folio with indicates it was exclusively for The First National Bank of Ceredo. I cannot find any information or images on the internet. Is this a rare print, and how would I get it appraised?
So, for years my dad has had a Chuck Ripper placemat featuring two cardinals on the kitchen table. They got it at the town dump at the 'take it or leave it' table. He loves it, but it's quite worn and faded. With Father's Day approaching, I 'googled' the artist and found an array of bird placemats (circa 1971) that we purchased on e-bay..He was thrilled !(he'll be 80 in august and he knows what he likes !) We found these items, and had no idea what a prominant wildlife artist Mr. Ripper is. Now, my dad can change his placemats daily if he desires, enjoying the beautiful bird prints as he watches the real ones at the feeders every morning. This is a man that is VERY difficult to buy gifts for. Thank you Mr.Ripper for your beautiful art work !!! I am currently researching all your work and spectacular !!!
Chuck's daughter Liz
His daughter Liz was a great young artist. I worked with her in the late 70's. Where is she today? Still involved in NWF art?
Did chuck do any landscapes and where can you find pictures of his works? thanks
LL Bean cover fall 2007
I am trying to locate the print of this painting. My father is an avid beagler and has bred them since he was a teen. I would love to be able to give this as a gift. please feel free to email me I have searched everywhere.
CLEANING OUT CABINETS, I FOUND SOME PLASTIC PLACEMATS WITH DIFFERENT BIRDS ON THEM. I DON'T KNOW WHERE THEY CAME FROM, OR, WHEN THEY WERE MADE. ANY IDEAS WHEN CHUCK WOULD HAVE PAINTED THESE? ARE THEY PROMOTIONALS?
chuch rippers daughter
I am ingterested in Chuck's daughter, Elizabeth who was a good artist herself. I do not know her married last name, or if she is still a working artist.

Is Chuck Ripper still living in Huntington, W.Va.?
Esther and Norman Ripper are related to me. It would be Arthur Ripper, Chuck's dad, brother.(Norman) They lived in Evans City, Pa. Would like more information on Art Ripper and his paintings. I have two paintings. thank you Living in Chesapeake, Va.
Dr. Stuart Davis
On the cover of the latest LLBean catalog there is an illustration by Chuck Ripper of a beagle lying on a poorch and a rabbit coming out from under the poorch. According to LLBean the illustration first appeared on the Fall 1967 cover of their catalog. The picture is as close a representation of our beagle, Bailey as one could get. OK, now the question: How might I get a copy of that illustration? My wife, Gerre and our three boys would be ecstatic if that were possible. Please e-mail me. Thank you so much - Stuart Davis
