I AM INTERESTED IN FINDING OUT MORE ABOUT A PARTICOLAR PAINTING BY HORTENSE PIRONIN,THE PAINTING IS SINED AND TITLED[*] SUNNY BRITTANY OR POSSIBLY LUNNY BRITTANY
I have a picture signed by h. pironin, which is titled, Sunny Brittany. It shows a fishing village on a hill, going down to a bay, where there are two fishing boats. There are two houses in the picture, and seven people. Two ladies in the forground are wearing long black dresses and high, white hats that tie under their chins. Most of the picture is greeny, yellowy and blue. There are a lot of distant hills, and a lighthouse stands on the point, over-looking the sea. I love this picture, and would be gratefull for any unformation and history of it's history. Thankyou in advance.
I HAVE A PICTURE SIGNED BY h pironin WHICH IS TITLED THE PIER HEAD ON THE BACK IN WHAT APPEARS TO BE ITS ORIGINAL FRAME. THE PICTURE IS SEALED IN ITS FRAME WITH A TYPE OF BROWN PAPER EDGING, WHICH IS WORN. THE FRAME ITSELF APPEARS TO BE MADE OF WOOD AND COATED WITH A PALE GOLDIE COLOURED PEBBLE DASH EFFECT. IT IS 20 inches WIDE x 24.5 inches HIGH, IN ITS FRAME AND THE PICTURE APPEARS TO BE OIL ON BOARD, IT SHOWS A STONE QUAY, BOATS, HOUSES, TREES AND SOME PEOPLE. COULD ANYBODY GIVE ME ANYMORE INFORMATION AND HISTORY ON THIS PICTURE AND THE ARTIST. REGARDS
