I also have vernon De Beauvoir Ward print of a country inn bearing no name but displaying a hanging heraldic sign. The print forms the base of a wooden tray which is not used as such for fear of disfiguring the excellent 'picture.' Any feedback appreciated please.

I have 2 Vernon Ward paintings that I've been able to find listed anywhere. I am the Business Manager for Lifeline in Bundaberg Qld and these have been donated to us. inherited print
I've recently inherited a V de Beauvoir Ward print (signed) of a country inn with a heraldic sign but no inn name hanging on a wrought iron bracket. There are 6 cavalier-type men, a horse, a serving girl, a groom, and a woman drawing water from a well. Next door to the inn is a thatched cottage. Does anybody have an idea of the title of the original painting? The print is about 52cm by 42cm. I don't want to tear the original paper off the back of the frame to see if there's a print number there, but would love to know when it would have been painted. I can't find it anywhere on the internet.

"Fleeting Shadows" MAS 827
A print of this picture has been in my family for a long time - at least I assume it's a print - and the legend was that it was a scene from Ireland, but recently a visitor queried this and said he thought it was somewhere on the NW coast of England, not far from the Isle of Man. The eye-catching feature of the picture is a gap in the clouds that looks like a kneeling cow/horse! Below is a tranquil landscape with hills, a lake and a small cottage in the foreground. If anyone knows the location, I'd be interested to know.

I purchased 2 Vernon Ward Paintings. They are oil paintings of Flamingos. They measure 30 1/2"x 10 1/4". The signature is verticle and on the left side. They are painted on canvas. One of the paintings has 2 white flamingos with what looks like water plants. The other painting has 2 light pink flamingos with white flowers with very green leaves. Does this sound real? Vernon Ward Azaleas in May
I have a signed framed picture of "Azaleas in May" by ~Veron Ward~. It is a beautiful picture of a vase of flowers and the colours are enchanting and when on the wall it seems to move your eyes towards it. Everyone has commented on it and the vase sits on what I think is a dining table. It is in an original frame by John Mathieson, Picture Framers of 20 Frederick Street, Edinburgh. The frame looks like malamine but is intact at the back is intact also with the original ring hooks and original string. The painting is not listed anywhere therefore I think it is an original - in fact I think it is an oil painting within the glass but I cannot be sure. Any hints on trying to find out without opening the back of frame would be helpful to me. Has anyone any idea on this painting as I had previously four or five years ago placed and email and a gentleman from America emailed me back to say There is not an Azaleas in May painting by Vernon Ward and I replied by email to say "Oh yes there is, and I have it in my possession".

I just found this picture at Goodwill store where it had been donated. There is no actual signature, but the artist did print his name, Vernon Ward, on the front, and on the back are the words, "Sudden Fear, by V. Ward". Can anybody give me any information about thius picture?

I have two pictures, signed by Vernon Ward, each framed in white/?gold textured frame with a sticker showing 100 and the title on the back. They measure approx 60x40cm (from memory). It looks like oil on board but I din't want to remove the frames at this stage to check. Does anyone know anything about these and if they're worth anything? Any feedback greatly appreciated

It shows a lake or river scene with swan and seven sygnets on grass near waters edge with another bird (large duck?)with ducklings in the water. There are lots of overhanging trees also.
There is no title or label but measures approx 12 x 16 inches in a white/gilt frame.It is signed in bottom left corner
