French man and Lady paintings
I have two paintings signed by R. Montagu in 1956. The subjects (one is a man, the other a woman)appear to be French or British. (not sure). The woman is barefoot, carrying a basket of flowers in one hand, and a water vessel in the other. The man is poised with a walking stick in his right hand. They appear to be done in watercolor. The frames were made by The Illinois Moulding Co. in Chicago. They belonged to my husband's grandparents. Does anyone know of these paintings?
