Glen Payton Bankson
I have one of mr bankson painting on my wall since 1970 .I think he told me he called it lady in yellow. We had a showing at eastern wa u and I met mr Bankson and bought it and have loved it for 37 years
It is neat to see Glen represented here, I am wondering who put the painting "out there". It is interesting to see the nude, because I don't think he painted a lot of them. Landscapes were more his thing.
I met Glen in Spokane in the '70's. He was doing custom framing out of his house and paintings hanging wall to wall. Glen was a very dear human being and it was a privilige to know him.
I believe he was in Ellensburg with family when he passed sometime in the '80's. I had lost touch with him so I am not certain of the details.
What else do you know about Glen? I have a photo somewhere, I will post it when I find it.
