Searching for Portrait "For Ships at Sea" Hi - I am searching for a portrait by John Carroll entitled "For Ships at Sea" -- I believe painted in the early 1950s. It is very large, horizontal, and shows a nude figure in the ocean with the waves and flowers entwining her hair. THANK YOU for any information!

Searching for a Painting The Carroll's farm in East Chatham, NY bordered my family's farm. My father as a little boy would visit John Carroll, and Mr. Carroll had painted a portrait of him, entitled Saint Stephen. I am searching for this painting. If anyone knows of where it might be hanging, please contact me through email. Our family farm still borders the previous Carroll place.

john carroll table My husband and I are interested in selling a table that belonged to the artist John Carroll. We know it's his because there is a hand written shipping label underneath with his name and Woodstock, NY, where it was being shipped. We were told by the couple that sold it to us that he built it and used it as a combination easel and storage unit. This appears to be the case as it has holes in the sides where canvas was attached and lots of interior space underneath the lid which raises up. It is very unique and has a very primitive appearance. We've been using it as a coffee table. If anyone is interested in it, please contact us via our email address.
