TAIT'S "CATCHING A TROUT"
Does anyone have any information about Tait's CATCHING A TROUT (1854). I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE IT MIGHT BE AND WHAT BOOK HAS INFO ON IT. I BELIEVE IT DID APPEAR IN A CURRIER AND IVES PRINT.

Home of the Deer
My wife has a print of the Home of the Deer, but instead of A. F. Tait, the signature seems to be A. P. Taft. Have you ever heard of another artist painting the same picture?

I'm interested in researching the life and work of A.F. Tait. I was born in Scotland and have traced the Taits to the Isle of Fetlar in Shetland. By unique coincidence, I live in the Adirondacks of NYS and have a keen interest in art history.
Please identify any definitive references on A.F. life and work.

Great Grandfather
I'm the great grandson of AF Tait, a young lawyer with an office in San Diego and one on the way in New Orleans. I didn't inherit his skills in painting, but I'd like to make contacts with other people who enjoy/own original Tait paintings. Thanks!
