I have guite a few drawings (Richards) that are of many of his outstanding paintings. Question, since they have a direct association,- is the 'market' for these outststanding drawings with the owners of the paintings? I actually like the the insight these detail works some instances, more so - than his paintings.

First of all it should be signed W.T. RICHARDS, not any other form than that.

I have a watercolor, dated 1884. It appears to be a European waterway, with barges and a castle like structure. Faintly in the far distance is a snow capped peak. It is highly detailed. Very beautiful.
This is my first conversation about the work. Can someone offer advice?

William Trost Richard - Fakes or Copies.
I am wondering if many fakes, or reproduction of this artist's work have come to notice over the years? I have recently spotted one of his watercolours on Ebay which seems a rather unusual venue for the work of such a highly collected artist.

I may have two of his paintings that he did in the mid 19th C whilst travelling here in England, passed down by great grand parents, whom he stayed with in their Inn.

I need to see a sample of his signature so I can compare the one on the painting.

Please refer me to a sample somewhere on the web site or sample . Thanks.

I have an oil of high mountains and valley but I am not sure where it is. A relative says it is the Wyoming Valley of Pennsylvania but I can find no reference of his paintings to that area. Does anyone have knowledge about him painting in this area?
