James G. Tyler. Scene is dark with two sailing vessels sillouetted on a turbulent nighttime ocean. Size 8" x 18" about 3/4" thick. Small tear in upper right of painting that has been mended from back with linen but no retouching of paint on surface. Could you tell me what it might be worth? Thank you. Debbie Spiller

106 year old puzzle to be solved!
I have an authentic 1900 Tyler print that has been in my family for at least 50 years. My mother did not particularly care for the painting but fell in love with the frame it rests in!
Since I have just begun to research the print's history it would be great if anyone has info on Mr. Tyler's works signed 1900 lower left.
I welcome any info. or questions you have. Thanx!
