Mandel Brothers Artistic Picture framing SN 3405
Mandel Brothers Artistic Picture Framing SN.3405. It's a 14" x 41" color picture of a beautiful redhead lady in a gold swim suit and high hill shoes. I found this picture at a place where people dump the trash. It's in great shape and the back of the picture is still sealed. Any recommendation as to how I can find out how much this picture is worth.

Painting by James G. Tyler
I have an original oil on linen signed lower right James G. Tyler. Very old wood that the painting is stretched on and small name plaque on reverse. "Homeward Bond'
James G. Tyler. Scene is dark with two sailing vessels sillouetted on a turbulent nighttime ocean. Size 8" x 18" about 3/4" thick. Small tear in upper right of painting that has been mended from back with linen but no retouching of paint on surface. Could you tell me what it might be worth? Thank you. Debbie Spiller

106 year old puzzle to be solved!
I have an authentic 1900 Tyler print that has been in my family for at least 50 years. My mother did not particularly care for the painting but fell in love with the frame it rests in!
Since I have just begun to research the print's history it would be great if anyone has info on Mr. Tyler's works signed 1900 lower left.
I welcome any info. or questions you have. Thanx!

False paintings
Since Tyler's marine paintings were widely counterfeited, does anyone know what distinguishing marks are useful in detecting forgeries? TIA for any help.
