Charles Paul Gruppe.
A C. P. Gruppe painting in original frame has been loaned to the Rahr-West Museum, Manitowoc, WI, with intentions for it to be donated in 2005. It is signed by Gruppe in lower left hand corner. It is an oil image of a young girl wearing wooden shoes in a Dutch backyard, standing at a potting table with back toward the viewer, with a tree and architectural elements filling the space. The condition is remarkably clean and near mint, colors rich, and the frame is ornate without competing with the painting.
