RE: Abbott Fuller Graves We acquired over 20 years ago an Abbott Fuller Graves oil painting on canvas from an auctioneer. We have never taken the frame apart to see if the signature is underneath the frame, however, on the back it states that it is Abbot Graves 1905 "Peonies". The art is exactly like all his other flower art work and the picture is in excellent condition. How can I verify this and the authenticity of it?

Abbot Fuller Graves Abbot Graves painted in Saint Augustine, Florida in the early 1900's and recorded many local scenes. One is illustrated in ART IN FLORIDA by Mabelle Mann.

Labor of Love Did Abbott Graves paint "Labor of Love?" It is a painting of an older man repairing the United States flag? I have been unable to find any information on the internet regarding this specific painting.

Abbott Fuller Graves I have aquired a framed Abbott Graves. It is similar to the Pond Lillies but very different. It has two ladies in a small boat with fancy dresses on and one is standing pushing an oar. My problem is I cannot locate the same picture in books or on the internet to determine the name of the paiting. It is framed and under glass and sealed on the back so I do not even know if it is original or a print. What is my best course of action to 1) find out the name of the picture and if it is orignal or print?
