Nisbet had a major exhibition at Arlington Galleries, 1918, from March 9 to 23, 274 Madison Avenue, New York. Paintings from this period often feature a label from the gallery.

I knew Robert Nesbit.
I knew Robert Nesbit. He lived in South Kent Connecticut and was a good friend of my father. I used to go to his house with my father and he taught me to shoot muzzle loading pistols. Many of his paintings were done in Kent and I frequently recognize the location that he painted.

trying to look up nesbit
Just trying to look up some info on Nesbit's painting. I have an early painting of his. When I was a little girl I helped to clean out his estate with my Dad and have some letters he had from the NRA. And news paper clippings about him. I also have some old guns that were his.
