Don't know if my picture is by Tomanek but it says Love & Beauty, Stern & Hacker Chicago, Ill. I believe it is from about 1930 or earlier. 3 ladies in flowing sheer drapes around a fountain in a garden.

Field of Gold
Georgia: My grandmother had the field of Gold painting you were wondering about. When my father died I inherited the painting.

Stern & Hacker
I also owe a picture call "Day Dreams" with the name Sterns & Hacker on the bottom.Mine is alot of green and its a lady in a canoe, with swans around her.Maybe Victorian time. I'm trying to fine out some info on it.

Juanita Singleton

Midnight At Sea
I was wondering if anybody has ever seen or heard of this painting by Jos Tomanek. This is the name on the bottom of my painting it looks like water color of a huge ship from the 1800's. It say's Stern and Hacker Chi. Ill on the back, any clue????

Hhis paintings
He was my grandmother's brother. I inherited 2 paintings. one is a beautiful portrait of my mother in Czech ethnic costume and the other is a scene from
South Park in Oak Park, IL. We used to own a photo of a field of corn. I wondered what ever happened to it? My mother traded it for an antique.
