Addition for your biography information I am the oldest grand-daughter of Naomi T. Evans. I grew up learning to paint along side Sam Hyde Harris and my grandmother. He was a great friend of our family, and of my grandfather, who you forgot to mention in your biography, Kenneth Roy Evans. Sam was grandma's teacher, which would be a good reason that their paintings look similar in style and use of colors and technique. Grandpa also offered several wonderful paintings of his own. They loved to paint together on their trips to the desert. Grandpa took up painting to keep up with Naomi and support her work, of which he was very proud. My times with all of them are wonderful memory's that I will treasure. I resent the assumption that teacher and student had anything else going on other than their love for art, and a wonderful friendship.

Sam Hyde Harris and Naomi T Evans Dear Karl

A Great Master I knew and Loved! I knew Sam Hyde Harris for over 35 years! He was a Master of Atmospheric Light and a great composer of landscape. I learned so much from painting with him. We painted the Arroyo Seco for over 35 yrs. What a joy to have know him! I welcome any thought or correspondence about him. Karl Albert
