Was he married to a woman named Catherine?
I am researching Victor, he is my great Uncle
It is so great to see these wonderful comments. My grandmother had many of his original works including a self-portrait of him. I have also heard that he has more works of art that I am trying to find, especially a print that my brother has of "The Battle of Chateau Thiery" from WWII. Any info you can provide or know of any of his works or prints that are available I would sincerely appreciate it.

Victor Perard along with J.M. Macom illustrated Over the Ocean, Souvenir of a Voyage on the American Line SS New York (1893: Ocean Publishing Company. One copy exists at the Library of the Mariner's Museum.
Victor Perard was an internationally know illustrator and painter. He was born in Paris France and immigrated to the United States some time in the early 1930's. He lived near Dorset Vermont and painted many landscapes around the surrounding areas. He illustrated many books on figure drawing and animal drawing. He exhibited at the Salmagundi Club in New York at least in 1941 and possibly other times. We have a painting in our collection with Salmagundi 1941 label on it of a Vermont Snow scene. He was also an impressionist painter. Oil paintings by him are rare and are always fully signed Victor Perard or Victor Perard and then dated, usually never just Perard.
