I am content when I think the two artists are together. Karl Albert and Darwin Duncan are the two of the best artists I have known and now with the death of Karl Albert - I know the two are together painting and rejoicing on the soul plain! They were true friends...

Karl Albert Karl Albert and Darwin Duncan shared a mutual respect for one another."Dunc" invited every one he could to attend Albert's exhibits. I'm honored to have been one of them.

My earliest painting partner and friend of 75 years "Dunc" was my first great friend and painting partner for so many years! We painted in Palm Springs in the 1930's. He was a great man and our friendship never waned...Thanks God he left so many beautiful works for the world to see! Karl Albert

The Color Red Painting outdoors with "Dunc," I admired a bright red color he' d applied near the base of a just depicted tree trunk.I told him it looked beautiful and asked what reason he'd had in doing that. He replied, "I didn't have a reason, I just felt like doing it. Why not?" He paused, smiled, and added, "Every painting should have at least ten why nots.
