Earle was Director of the Palestine Exhibition Company of Chicago, per William Wehner (1847-1928), which produced units of JERUSALEM ON THE DAY OF THE CRUCIFIXION panorama in 1886 (Chicago debut),1887 (Minneapolis debut),1888 (Buffalo debut,later London) and 1889 (intended for Mexico City).The exhibition catalog and the stock certificate for the Palestine Exhibition Company was produced by Shober & Carqueville Lithographic Company.Is there evidence that Lawrence Earle could also have been the artist at Shober & Carqueville who designed the very attractive stock certificate and exhibition catalog?

David Wemken
I have just acquired the same painting by David Wemken which is actually not a painting, but a lithograph. Mine has the number 2033 on the end of the canvas so I'm not sure how many of these there are. I did a search for the artist and turned up a landscape/portrait artist out of Illinois. Not sure if this is the same man or not. Also, there is a price of $139.00 on the back of mine. Hope this helps.
