fernando botero I bought a painting at a thrift store in fl. about 12 x18. it is unfinished as in mostly an underpainting in green shades but with exact details. extremely smooth -no brush strokes. Needs to be glazed in with colors. A small version of THE PRESIDENT (man on horse with ribbon and palms in the background)Excellent copy or original thumbnail.Canvas is nailed to stretcher not stapled. No frame. Does anyone know what process Botero goes through before his work is completed? --Or any other info. How does he get his work so smooth? Any idea of the value? Does anyone know an expert I could call? I do not want to pay an appraiser at this point. Thanks

1984 & 1988 framed Fernando Botero prints I have just aquired two framed prints with details on back of frames. A 1984 Muerte De Luis Chalmeta, oleo sobre lienzo 175x121.0 cms, and a 1988 Patio De Caballos, oleo sobre lienzo 165x 132 cms. Each are in excellent condition. Do you believe of any value?

did botero every paint on wood slates? I may have found 3 little botero wood slate paintings. I'm not 100[%] convinced, because they are also not signed. Did Botero every paint on wood?

Fernando Botero Painting I have acquired an original oil painting of two fat dancers that is obviously one of Botero's. It is on canvas attached to a wooden frame. I don't believe it has ever been framed. It is not signed on the front, but has pencil lines out to the edges and has "Botero" printed in pencil on the back of the canvas. Did Botero ever paint oils that he did not sign on the front? This is definitely an original oil with brush strokes. I would appreciate any information I can find out about this painting. I would be glad to email photos of the front and back of the painting. Thanks, Sherry

a Botero like painting I think I may have discovered an original oil painting by Botero. It is not signed, but appears to be an original portrait of a male, nude, seated with legs crossed and hairy patches on the strangest places on the arms and legs. A conquistador helmet sits on the chair next to him. Same facial features as I see in his paintings. Enormous proportions except for tiny hands and feet. What should I do?
