I would like to hear from anyone who is familiar with the work of Clark Fay and his wife, Nancy Briggs Fay.
Both were magazine illustrators in the 1920's-1930's
I have two large oil paintings that were done by my Aunt's husband and have been in our family since her early death in the early 1930's. NBH

Allen Dale Currier chalk painting
I have an original Allen Dale Currier chalk painting of a beautiful forest waterfall scene. It was appraised at an appraisal show as a pastel art form but I had it reframed with the glassframe off the art & custom framing gallery said it was a chalk art form. I would like to know more about this art form and the value of this painting.

sacred heart/immaculate heart painting
I have a painting of the Immaculate Heart/Sacred Heart that I got from my grandparent's estate. The painting is anywhere from 100 to 150 years old. Both of my grandparents are of Irish extraction. It is much more detailed than the more symbolic renderings that I have found on line.

The painting itself is on a piece of cloth which has a seam running down the face of the painting.

I am interested in finding out what type of art this could be. Baptismal or funeral art? Irish tradition? I would appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.

Thank you.

I'm interested in any discussions about Robert Grafton, as he is my great grandfather. Our family is very proud of his life and work.
