Julia and J Redding Julia Redding Kelly Corbett and J. Redding Kelly were brother and sister, both artists. J. Redding Kelly was the chairman of the art dept. at Brooklyn College. They also had a brother, Maurice Kelly, who was friends with my grandparents. He died at their supper table in Hollis NY, I believe in 1949.

Julia Redding Kelly The 1939 Obit in the NY Times refers to J Redding Kelly (Julia Redding Kelly) as a female. It may be a mistake. If the Chairman of the Art Department was a male then the obit was in error and maybe causing the confusion. What ever the case, Julia Redding Kelly and J Redding Kelly are probably the same person.

Julia Redding Kelly I believe Julia Redding Kelly was the sister of J. Redding Kelly, who was chairman of the art dept at Brooklyn College in the early 20th century. He painted a famous portrait of Abe Lincoln. I believe Julia's married name was Corbett and that she was married to James J. Corbett.
