my portrait done by abt
in the summer of 1969, while i was working at jackson lake lodge, mr teater was giving a demonstration to the guests of the lodge on portrait painting. his wife told me that mr teater would like me to be his model. i was very hesitant, never having done anything like that, but she got me to agree. he worked for 3 hours on it and when his demonstration was over, he asked me to come to his jackson hole studio so he could work on it some more. while posing in his studio, he was being filmed by someone. i would like to get some information from anyone that might know about that.

3 Original Oil Painting (Portraits) by Archie B. Teater
I currently have 3 original oil paintings done by Mr. Teater. Each one is a portrait - one of my Mother, one of my brother & one of me. They were done in Jackson Hole, WY in 1957 while we were there on a family vacation. I'm not interested in selling them. I'm only interested in determining their value for insurance purposes, and discovering galleries, etc. where we might view other paintings of his when we travel. We loved meeting & getting to know Mr. Teater & his wife during the time he painted our portraits. We especially loved his landscape paintings. They were my special favorites.

I have a manuscript on Teater awaiting publication. Accordingly, I am quite familiar with his paintings, but have never come across mention of one of his paintings with this title.
