Bernique Longley
I own a painting by Bernique Longley and it is just signed "Bernique 1955". I may have it restored as it has some wholes in the canvas. She was quite the painter. My painting is is about 30"x40" size and is of a Southwestern woman with a piece of pottery. I believe these paintings in the 50's were signed this way.

A few years ago I came into possession of a sizeable painting of a Southwestern woman sitting before a railing. It is quite beautiful. It is signed simply "Bernique 1954." How did Bernique Longley sign other paintings? I'm interested in whether this is an early painting by her.

Bernique Longley
I have an oil painting by Bernique that she did in 1966.It is aboput 44"x36". It is of two little Hispanic boys. They appear to be brothers. They are in white robes and are holding hands. They have beautiful faces with large dark eyes.It is a beautiful painting. I really don't know that much about her except that she is from New Mexico. Is anyone familiar with this perticular oil on board?
I purchased this painting in Philadelphia in 1977.
I'd love to hear from someone who might know more about it.
