Thomas Kinkade/Robert Girrard
We just purchased a Robert Girrard, called "Gazing". Robert Girrard is the Brush Name that Thomas Kinkade painted under in the 80's in order to experiment with a totally different style.

Our opinion is he should have continued with much more of that style...it is a beautiful painting. It is Artist's Print number 147 out of 250.

We would be interested to know its Gallery Value on today's market.

Prints
I think the real problem here is the word print. They just don't hold up in value. If you have number 3401 it is such a high number. Proof #1 may have a value, but I think people get fooled into thinking that they have a real painting, or a great investment. The pieces to buy are the original works. If you look on here they are not so high. His average auction price is 7100.00 for a real oil painting. Now that is what to put your money into... I think his real paintings are wonderful, and I wish this artist just painted his works, and was less commercial. My thoughts only.....I would say to go to ebay and see what they are really selling for....Paul

Hi there,

I have 2 Artist Proof Thomas Kinkade paintings with their certificates of authenticity.

The first is: The End of a Perfect Day III, print number: 3401/4950 s/n canvas and published in 1995.

The second is: Hometown Memories I, print number: 254/495 a/p canvas and published in 1995.

I was wondering if you'd know how much they are worth or where I can get a proper appraisal.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Rebecca
