Arthur J. Elsley My grandmother left me a framed painting of a little curley headed blond girl with a puppy. It is signed in print on the left hand side of the painting by Arthur J Elsley. It is framed in old, gold leaf frame with heavy cardboard backing. Under the picture, the framer(?) typed AN UNINVITED GUEST by Arthur J. Elsley (b.1861-fl.1903). Does anyone know if this is a mistake. I have seen this picture on line entitled "BE MINE"! Thank you.

Arthur J. Elsley I have an old black and white large framed picture dated either 1903 or 1908 and would like more information regarding this picture. The picture has a little girl riding a white horse or pony with three other older girls walking next to her and a boy leading the pony or horse and a collie looking dog next to the boy.

Dog on Beach with Rescued Child For years I have been searching for a print of a Saint Bernard-like dog lying on a beach with a limp toddler that he seemingly rescued from drowning over his paws. I saw this print in an antique store about 25 years ago. I almost bought it but decided against it and I have regretted it ever since. Could never find the shop again - it was somewhere in NY state. I was trying to find the print online and came across Elsley's work and it sure seemed to be like his but can't find the print anywhere. Does anyone know the one I mean or anything about it? Thanks.
