Vickery portrait
My mother and father were good friends of Charles Vickery. Over 25 years ago, Vickery painted a portrait of my mother. Given that he primarily paint seascapes, I believe that a Vickery portrait would be quite rare.
Since the portrait is of my mother, I enjoy having the painting. However, I am curious to know whether there are any other known Vickery portraits and/or what the value of something like that might be.
Also, I noticed in an obituary about Vickery that one of his paintings sold for $85,000. Does anyone have information about the approximate value of his seascape paintings? (Perhaps they vary significantly in value. If that's the case, please identify the price range for me.)
