My First Art Teacher John Osborne taught art at Indian Hills High School. He is the best! He saw something in me, and I've been painting ever since. I took classes at his studio in Midland Park, NJ, and helped teach his class for Children. I graduated in 1978 and am still painting (oils and acrylics). Thank you, John Osborne, for encouraging so many to pursue art.

Wish I could learn with you. Recently, I had the pleasure of taking a workshop in MN. The instructor, a former pupil of yours, said you were the best instructor he was fortunate enough to ever have had. I wonder if you would consider giving a workshop at some point. I know I would be there in a heartbeat. Sincerely, Roxy

John Phillip Osborne Every time I mix paint I think of Chip. That's what I used to call John Osborne. He was said to be a "chip off the old block". He was my first art teacher back in the late 70's. He taught on Saturdays in an old train station in (Wycoff?) NJ. I was a nine-year-old girl with a passion for art and he laid down the foundation for everything I have created since. He helped me see light and shadows and taught me how to mix colors. Most importantly he made me love what I was doing. Thank you, John! I can only imagine how many people you have inspired.
Best Wishes from that grateful 9-year-old girl who is now a 39 year-old illustrator.

John Phillip Osborne John Osborne has two very special talents. He is an extremely talented painter and an exceptional teacher. His approach to painting is open and unassuming and his principles, unwavering. It is with these same qualities that he approaches his teaching. If it were not for John, I do not think that I would be a painter today. It is because of this man that so many individuals become inspired to be artists. Should one wish to learn about painting and see paintings created by a master of prismatic light and atmospheric effects, one must study with John.

John Phillip Osborne Oz taught High School Art at Indian Hills High School, Oakland NJ during the mid to late 70's and was without a doubt, the best teacher I ever had. He helped me to improve by leaps and bounds.
