Alaska Highway stamp I am trying to find out where Mr. Birdsall got his insperation and ideas for the U S postage stamp commemorating the 50th anneversary of the Alaska highway, he designed in 1992. I am an avid collector of all first day covers of this stamp by all cache makers. I have found no way to contact him directly so I will see if anyone else knows. I found a 1942 canadian postcard that is almost identical to the stamp and I was just wondering could this be a favorite spot on the Alaska Highway

Previous Painting from American Samoa I have an original Byron Birdsall painting done by Byron in 1973 in American Samoa when he worked as an artist alongside with my former husband, Roy, at the educational TV station there. The painting is a beautiful Pacific Island scene. I have several of his prints as well and am looking for additional Pacific Island prints done by Byron. I would appreciate receiving an e-mail response from Byron.

The Silent Pond I have enjoyed your artwork for many years love the prints I have in my home. I recently noticed you had done a reproduction of the Sydney Laurence painting 'The Silent Pond'. I have been looking for a print of that for years and was wondering if you were possibily going to have numbered prints. I would love to have one.

A note about Birdsall From 1973-75, I had the honor and pleasure of knowing Byron as a co-worker at KVZK-TV, Pago Pago, American Samoa. He directed the station's art and production department. I shall always remember and appreciate Byron for his acceptance of my unorthodox TV programming style. He never failed to accept, support, improve upon, develop and construct my ideas for attempting to creatively inform, educate and entertain our TV viewers throughout Samoa. I especially and fondly recall his artistic development of the set for my "Creature Feature" show and for his perfect duplication of the "Sesame Street" sign which, when placed at the front entrance of KVZK-TV and unvailed by the Acting Governor of Samoa before a throng of cheering Samoan children, became the first street named on the island of Tutulla. Please give my very best regards to Byron and ask if he might find the time to send me an E-mail. Thank you.

Byron Birdsall My deceased husband (Christopher John Skinner) and I knew a Byron Birdsall in Uganda in the 1960's and wonder if this is the same person. It would be good to make contact. I have several of his paintings from that period.

Painting of African Woman and Child Hello--I recently purchased a painting signed "B Birdsall 1967," in a stylized, tall signature. I hope to find out more about the artist, and see that Byron Birdsall travelled to Africa. I'm hoping to match the signature--can anyone out there help? Thanks--Dennis.
