Art Piece As you know from an earlier post, Yes...I am his sister and extremely proud of my brother. I remember when he was in the service I missed him like crazy. But while he was in the there, there was a picture that he drew that I absolutely loved. It was of a guy sitting on a stool with his leg bent upon his other knee, holding a mirror with his toes and shaving in a little mirror. I don't know who the person was, but couldn't help but get a kick out of it along with several other piece of his art work while in the service. I know that many people know him for his Star Trek art work, but he has so many other amazing pieces. Keith is so blessed with a wonderful talent and we are all very proud of him.

Early Keith Birdsong I first met Keith when I asked him to meet with me at the 82d Airborne HQ. I had a fellow soldier that was driving me crazy about his artistic abillities. He was not what I expected at all. He was very humble and we became good friends.
For the next couple of years we would entertain each other with art projects and a group of eclectic freinds. I dont know how many times Keith talked us into posing for art projects.
Keith Birdsong became a great artist because he beleived in himself when others didnt. I can tell you that he fought many a dragons in the time I new him. I remember someone saying to me that Keith wanted to be the next Frazetta. Although I think he would have been one of Hogarths best students,Keith Birdsong does not want to emulate anyone other than himself and that is the only thing that makes him like Frazetta.

1st Original Art Piece ever sold by Keith I remember a long time ago when I was very much interested in Star Trek. I had contacted Keith about his art work and the possibility of having him sell me a piece that he did. After talking with him a few times, I was able to purchase a Star Trek piece that he had done for one of the covers of the Star Trek fan club magazine. That according to the conversation that I had with him was the very first piece that he ever sold. I'm glad that my contact with him and was somewhat of a first for him since he usually did art work and then had it returned to him. My piece consists of the Captains of the original series and the Next Generation.
I have no idea what it would be worth now but I've never regretted my purchase and talking to him.
Great artist
