Arnold Vail painting
I have a painting by Arnold Vail that my mother had for a number of years before she passed away in 1989. It is a painting of a blacksmith shop alongside a country road. She told me that she was told it had been painted with house paint. I would appreciate any information concerning it. Thanks.

Arnold Vail
Have about 12 Arnold Vail paintings. Mostly Southwestern art. One is a seascape which was unusual for him. He was a dear friend of my Aunt. They became acquainted because of their live for painting in oils and acrylics. Maybe even house paint - if some stories about Arnold are true. I love his work.

I am a second Cousin of Arnold Vail...It is very exciting to learn about the following that Arnold has...It appears his work is becoming quite popular..I personally have always enjoyed his work... When I was a teenager I had this mural that Arnold did on my bedroom wall...It was of a Japanese Garden on Black Velvet... Time and my inmature appreciation of his work has I'm sure damaged it ( If I can remember where it is), besides he never signed that piece. I do remember another that my my Dad (his cousin) still has on the living room wall..I it is on a piece of wood ( you should have seen where he grew up... everything had a landscape on it) I digress, anyway this piece of wood has a preacher reading from the bible with a six shooter on his hip... Love it..

Arnold Vail
Arnold was in New Mexico and My mother traded painting's with him. He taught some short study art class's as did Pat Potucek. Arnold's painting was an Oil, scene of valley. I think they were in Santa Fe in the late sixties or early 70s when Mom got a painting from him.
