sign painting by elba alvarez
I bought my abstract painting in staples around 1990 but not sure if this is real painting by elba. How will I know if this is real not reproduction or done by somebody else. Discription: Black frame size 42W 32H abstract painting.

'Sinobu'
I bought an Elba Alvarez print early '90's titled 'Sinobu' - still not tired of looking at it.
The background, a cool icy blue recessed ominous and compelling doorway is as intriguing as the signature brilliant multicolored 'swooshes'. I've searched the NET; but, can't find it anywhere. I'm trying to find the origin and meaning of the title. I've found African and Japaneze references, but don't know what was intended. Anyone know? or, if you're out there Elba, please let me know. :) Thanks.
