O. Draver painting I always admired a painting by O. Draver, which was given to my step-grandmother on the occasion of her marriage to my grandfather in 1948. It is entitled, "Road to the Beaches." I always thought the subject matter was Ellenberger Park in Indianapolis, near to where I grew up, because it shows the familiar sycamore trees that abounded in that park along Pleasant Run Parkway in Indianapolis. I would appreciate any input whatsoever about this warm, memory-arousing fall scene. It was the one possession that my step-grandmother had that I had hoped she would leave to me. She died a couple of years ago at age 98.

O Draver painting A few years ago in a small Arizona town, I purchased for $5.00 a painting signed by O Draver at an estate sale. It appears to have been painted over another painting as it has swirls under the paint. That is the best way I know how to describe it. Can anyone give me some insight to what I might have?

i am orrin draver's granddaughter When I was a child I used to watch my grandfather when he would paint. He painted in the dinning room. I enjoyed being there with the smell of the oil paints. He even painted beautiful easter eggs for us to find. I have been married for 30 years and have some of his paintings. The artistic line continued through my dad, and myself to my three daughters

letter dated 1946 re Draver Kintzele furniture Company, 1018 S. Wabas Ave., Chicago 5 Illinois sent a letter to my grandmother in care of her cousin who lived in Chicago. The Postmark is Aug. 9, 1946. The letter reads, "O. Draver, one of America's outstanding contemporary painters is especially recognized for his realistic outdoor subjects, his woodland, autumn and winter scenes and perhaps more particularly the latter. His pictures are true and realistic and therefore are readily interpreted and enjoyed by all. Draver's paintings are eagerly sought after and his pictures command high prices; many have already found their home in private collections." I kept the letter, as I have the oil painting of the winter scene with the stream. Mine is probably 36" x 48"
